Background: Carissa edulis is generally used for the treatment of diverse ailments, but little or no interest has been shown on its hepatoprotective properties. This research work was aimed at evaluating safety and claimed activity edulis.Method: For intent data collection, method Li et al., 2011 used. In this animals were treated with (250,500 1000mg/kg) stem bark extract. The extract given daily by gavage to 28 consecutive days. 50% v/vCCl4 olive oil gavaged through gastric tube twice a week. tests conducted liver function test, antioxidant enzymes lipid profile test as well Histopathological assessment sections.Results: Results study revealed that markers in animal CCl4 significantly higher than normal control (P<0.05). While blood samples from extracts lower group (P<0.05).Conclusion: These results imply ethanolic have protective effect against induced hepato - cellular injury. Â
